Zrównoważona misja
Od plastiku do Buvanha
A travel towel made from recycled plastic bottles. That may sound surprising, but it’s exactly what we’re proud of. First, plastic bottles at the end of their lifecycle are collected and thoroughly cleaned. Then they are processed into small pellets, which are melted and turned into thread. With that thread, we weave our Buvanha travel towels. We believe that more sustainable production can go hand in hand with functionality, style, and comfort. Not as a compromise, but as the standard.

Certified Global Recycled Standard
Our travel towels are certified according to the Global Recycled Standard, an international label where companies from more than fifty countries commit to the social, ecological, and chemical impact of their products. This is not just a label. It is our promise that what is stated is truly inside. Our goal: 100% recycled. Currently, 45% of our travel towels are made from recycled polyester, and we are well on our way to 80%. Our mission is to ultimately reach 100%, so that every Buvanha product gives a second life to plastic that would otherwise end up in the environment.
Travel is all about discovering the most beautiful places on Earth. Those places deserve protection. Since our founding in 2019, we have been planting trees in collaboration with One Tree Planted to restore nature. For every Buvanha travel towel sold online, we plant one tree. Together, we have now planted more than 100,000 trees. Among other places, in Rwanda, where we support local farmers in restoring deforested areas in Gish Wati-Mukura. One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works worldwide with volunteers and local organizations in North America, South America, Asia, and Africa. Every euro equals one tree.
